To develop and implement the divisional marketing strategy, policies, procedures, systems and tools to drive brand positioning, innovation, offer development, category management and digital customer relationship management in order to ensure customers satisfaction, brand equity and realization of the division’s business strategy.

Key Accountabilities

Building & Execution of the Divisional Marketing Plan

  • Formulate the divisional marketing strategy and be the critical bridge for alignment with BUs in brand positioning in the local markets.
  • Develop, implement and drive annual planning calendar for all marketing initiatives including media (traditional, digital, social), new product launches, activations, sponsorships, loyalty building programs, events, and retailer marketing programs.
  • Set standards, benchmarking internally and externally and ensure delivery is founded on a clear understanding of business and customer needs.

Support Trade & Drive Execution

  • Initiate and execute the marketing plan for the region to help customers and retailers reach and educate more consumers about the business range of products and matching marketing goals to the right products.
  • Deploy and execute global toolboxes to drive category affinity, brand awareness and purchasing intention, e.g. digital marketing and social media platforms.
  • Working with the sales team in developing and executing customer specific trade promotion and activation plans to the maximum efficiency and impact.
  • Establish an innovation and platform to support localized manufacturing and product customization based on consumer insight matched with regulatory requirements.

Brand Tracking & Measurement

  • Gain market and consumer insights to develop marketing and competitor intelligence to support and drive the innovation and strategy programs.
  • Manage the marketing budget across the division allocating key spends to best ROI opportunities.
  • Develop business case analysis support for marketing spends/projects outside of budget spends
  • Manage tracking and reporting on the metrics on a monthly basis to leadership Team, managing the marketing budget.
  • Market and consumer intelligence tracking and reporting (quarterly basis)
Candidate Requirements


  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing or a closely related filed
  • Strong demonstrated experience in activations, brand strategy, digital and trade marketing, and social media within a GCC and East Africa context
  • Experience developing and implementing aligned consumer insights to brand strategy
  • Leadership and coaching attributes.
  • High standards of numeracy and literacy and strong communication skills.
  • 15 –20 years within Automotive, Agricultural equipment, FMCGs
  • 10 + years focused on Consumer Marketing with international companies
  • 10 + years at a Senior Management level
  • At least 3 years experience working in an overseas environment
