An opportunity has become available for a Regional Manager to join our Inland team, based in Bryanston and reporting directly to the General Manager (Retail). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the operations of retails stores, and ensure the delivery of optimum performance in line with the business objectives.

An opportunity has become available for a Regional Manager to join our Inland team, based in Bryanston and reporting directly to the General Manager (Retail). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the operations of retails stores, and ensure the delivery of optimum performance in line with the business objectives.

Drive profitability by maximising sales, analysing retail KPAs and achieving the company’s financial goals.
Manage human capital by recruiting high calibre employees, managing industrial relations, ensuring adherence to OHASA and ensuring the well-being and engagement of staff.
Manage staff performance by identifying training needs and coaching, mentoring and supervising training and development of store staff whilst also implementing and driving a sound succession plan and motivating store teams to perform.
Drive store performance by ensuring that targets are met, optimizing merchandise category performance, promoting lay byes, account drives and marketing initiatives and driving a culture of service excellence.
Execute visual standards by promoting excellent housekeeping by ensuring visual standards are met as per the expectations of marketing initiatives.
Manage stock and company assets by implementing effective stock loss prevention methods, ensuring weekly counts are carried out as per store operations manual, ensuring adherence to cash management procedures, monitoring stock performance and ensuring optimum stock turn, also ensuring adequate forward cover by store and driving stockroom management.
Drive regional sales and profitability by analysing profit and loss statements, managing staff costs and other expenses so as to be in line with budgets and regularly conducting competitor analysis.
Ensure a culture of service excellence by ensuring quick resolution of customer queries and complaints, recognising good customer service by employees and upholding and promoting the Spitz values.
Drive retail administration by ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, conducting monthly administration checks and ensuring good corporate governance practices are observed in store.
Ensure effective communication and feedback processes across all levels in the organisation, and between operations and other departments.

At least 4 years' of store management in the retail sector in stores reasonably comparable to the Spitz Group
Must be able to travel regularly
Valid driver’s licence essential

Matric / Grade 12
Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous

SAP knowledge ideal
MS Office essential
