An exciting opportunity exists for a SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNER at I&J Woodstock, Cape Town. The successful incumbent will be required to assist the master planner with daily, weekly and monthly operational planning, as well as ensure continuity in the planning function.

JOB SPECIFICATION:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

PLANNING:
- Quarterly, monthly and weekly end-to-end planning process (production planning, raw materials, ingredients, packaging and distribution planning) in collaboration with sales and marketing and Trawlers for both the vessels and factories
- Monitor and control optimal raw material allocation to actual demand/sales as per the planned allocation
- Analyse variances ( non-adherence to production plan) and Report variances to Master Planner
- Assist with developing accurate plans for all I&J products, in consensus /collaboration with sales/marketing team challenging the sales team when they are over or under forecast.
- Fulfill the planning roles of the Woodstock Junior Stores manager when they are absent:
-- MRP
-- Packaging and ingredient call off

- MRP
-- Run MRP in SAP
-- Understand MRP parameters and impact on overall planning

REPORTING:
- Produce monthly, weekly quarterly KPI reports
- Produce monthly stock reports

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT:
- Preparation for monthly stock meeting
- Review overstock and assist with implementation of agreed action plans.

EXPERIENCE:
- 1– 2 years’ experience as a Supply Chain Planner

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Degree in Supply Chain Management
- Honours Degree in Supply Chain Management (Preferable)

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & KNOWLEDGE:
- Computer Literacy
- Microsoft Office
- Supply Chain Principles
