A Private Education Provider is seeking to employ a Schools Marketer at their Campus in Durban. The successful incumbent must meet the minimum requirements set out in this advert:

  • Manage and deliver successful schools marketing.
  • Strategize, develop and create school activities that enable school learners’ database creation
  • Build and foster relationships with –principals, guidance teachers, teachers, scholars and parents
  • Book appointments and visit schools to deliver presentations to create awareness about the company and its product offering
  • Build student database and capture interest cards into in-house computer system
  • Market the Brand and its offerings to principals, teachers and
  • Create a students communication system between the Campus and the schools in order to keep the schools aware of changes and events at the local campus
  • Book school visits
  • Build school relationships, build student database, and market the brand and its offerings to students. Visit schools and deliver presentations in terms of set criteria
  • Market the brands products to principles, teachers and students
  • Activate CRM interest cards – build student database
  • Assist and build relationships with guidance (all) teachers – potential intermediaries that an influence student/ parent decisions. Build relationships with the parent teacher bodies, market appropriately to these bodies – drive activities that ensure sound relationships that will deliver on increased access and the brand priority
  • Build relationships with schools in target areas
  • Keep schools abreast of changes/ functions in the Campus
  • Attend schools expos and career afternoons
  • Manage the CRM data-base efficiently
  • Drive conversion of students to the Brands' learners – put targets in place. Track the conversion ratio of the enquiry cards, career evening/afternoon attendance to enrolments
  • Report all schools marketing activities to the campus GM
  • Develop and activate school activities that drive the brand take up.
  • Arrange and co-ordinate PR and marketing activities.
  • Arrange and attend exhibitions, sponsorships, activities that allow interaction with any potential market that can influence the Campus' take-up
  • Arrange and attend careers’ afternoons
  • Organise marketing functions
  • Understand the market
  • Collect competitor’s information in your target area and report back to the General Manager (marketing activity, sales activity, product activity)
  • Keep the Campus abreast of changes in the competitor market
  • Understand competitors in your geographical area – including their strengths and weaknesses
  • Generate market reports
  • Prepare and present a PR marketing plan with budget requirements to GM for approval and signoff. Report all marketing activities to Campus GM.
  • Generate student number and enrolments.
  • Activate sales activities that will drive student acceptance of the brands product offering
  • Phone students to invite them to careers days, CPTI assessments and interviews
  • Phone students to generate roll over leads
  • Send course information to prospective students and follow up with the consultation process with prospective students and parents
  • Capture interest cards onto CRM
  • Consult over the telephone and face to face.
  • Conduct and follow up interviews with students
  • Conduct acceptance tests with students when necessary







Candidate Requirements
  • Certificate in Marketing
  • B.Com Marketing or diploma equivalent in Marketing (IMM)
  • At least 1 Year work experience
