What is a Business Game?
In the simulated environment of a business game, separate firms run by the game’s participants compete amongst themselves to capture the consumers in a given market. Each participant or team must define its strategy and then adapt it over time based on the response of consumers and competitors, while analyzing operational, financial and accounting reports.
Worldwide, business games have become an increasingly popular tool for training managers who need to make decisions in response to the challenges that face a company in a complex and competitive Market.
Game Dynamics
In our business games, each participant or team represents a simulated company that competes for a particular consumer market. After analyzing their market’s potential, sales history and competitors, players must make decisions related to different areas of the company, such as Human Resources, Finance and Marketing.
After that, the game simulates the passage of one month in the life of the company and returns reports that show how the market and other competitors behaved. From these reports, participants analyze the results and make decisions for the next month. This cycle of analysis of results and decision making simulates 10 months in the life of a company and so prepares its management executives for the real challenges of a competitive market.
