There are some people who want to work from home while there are other people who think it'll be a disaster. This begs the question, how can you be happy when you work from home?

Well, there are a couple of things to remember:

Why you'll love it

Maximum freedom

You can go to work in your pyjamas and you don't have a boss who is constantly looking over your shoulder. Another benefit is that you can take breaks when you want because no one will be there to tell you not to. Even though you may still have deadlines, it'll be like you're your own boss.

No traffic stress

The great thing about working from home is that it is so much more more flexible. You don't have to commute to work, which will cut out the stress of traffic and all those hours spent stuck on the road. Oh, and can you imagine the amount of money you'll save on petrol or the ever-increasing public transport fares.

How to keep loving it

Socialise

Make sure you don't let work consume you - go out with friends and family when you can. Just because you don't have co-workers around you, doesn't mean you have to remain cut off from the world. Socialising could help lift your mood and make going back to work/home that much more enjoyable - and it gives you something to look forward to once your work for the day is done.

Positive thinking

If you go in thinking that you will hate working from home, then you are likely to hate it. However, if you adopt a positive attitude towards working from home, you'll find it much easier to work at home. Positive thinking is not everything, but it can go a long way in making work from home far more bearable. Never say you hate it, or it will become its own self-fulfilling prophecy. Make a list of all the benefits and read over it when you feel the negativity rising.

Still work at the office? Try working from a coffee shop orconvince your boss to work flexible hours instead.
