Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Dam Engineer to support the delivery of critical water infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging assignments involving dam safety, rehabilitation, design optimisation, and construction support while collaborating with experienced multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements:

•       BSc / BEng / MEng / MSc in Engineering

•       PrEng registration with ECSA is essential.

•       Category III APP registration with the Dam Safety Office is required.

•       10+ years of experience within dam engineering and water infrastructure projects.

•       Strong understanding of dam design, rehabilitation, and safety assessment methodologies.

•       Strong report-writing and technical communication skills.

•       Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work.

•       Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

•       Deliver engineering solutions for dam and hydraulic structure projects.

•       Perform inspections, condition assessments, and safety evaluations of existing dams.

•       Prepare technical documentation including safety reports, risk assessments, and engineering studies.

•       Conduct seepage, stability, deformation, and geotechnical analyses.

•       Assist with hydrological assessments, flood routing studies, and related investigations.

•       Manage geotechnical investigation programmes and review field and laboratory data.

•       Provide technical support during construction and rehabilitation projects.

•       Ensure compliance with industry regulations and dam safety requirements.

•       Engage with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

•       Mentor junior staff and contribute to ongoing professional development initiatives.
