An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance of a portfolio of commercial and retail properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, managing service providers, maintaining tenant satisfaction, and driving compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operational activities across multiple properties.
- Manage maintenance programmes, repairs, and service contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular property inspections and ensure operational standards are maintained.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure service delivery meets required standards.
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, cost controls, and expenditure.
- Investigate and resolve tenant queries, complaints, and operational issues.
- Compile operational, maintenance, and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and company policies.
- Manage insurance claims and risk-related matters.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and asset enhancement.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and operational disruptions.

Candidate Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 with a Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Facilities Management, Property Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' management experience in operations, facilities, property, retail, or commercial environments.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder and customer relationship management abilities.
- Proven experience in budgeting, financial management, and cost control.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience within Shopping Centres, Retail, Commercial Property, or Facilities Management will be advantageous.
- Own reliable transport and a valid driver's licence are essential.
- Ability and willingness to work after hours and on weekends when required.
