Our client, a reputable transport and logistics company with modern workshops across Ireland and the United Kingdom, is actively recruiting experienced HGV Trailer Mechanics to join their growing teams.

As an HGV Trailer Mechanic you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of heavy goods trailers including curtain siders, tippers, flatbeds, and refrigerated units. You will work on air brake systems, electrical systems (ABS/EBS and lighting), suspension, axles, landing legs, fifth wheel couplings, and related components to keep fleets safe, compliant, and on the road.
Key duties include diagnosing faults, completing repairs to a high standard, preparing vehicles for roadworthiness/MOT inspections, and maintaining accurate workshop records and defect reports.

Candidate Requirements
- Qualified HGV / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Trailer Technician with a recognised trade qualification (Red Seal trade test certificate, or equivalent)
- Minimum 3–5 years hands-on experience working on HGV trailers or commercial vehicles (specific trailer experience is highly advantageous)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver’s licence (advantageous)
- Good verbal and written English communication skills. For all UK candisates, will be required to sit an englisg exam (IELTS) before work permits are processed
- Clean criminal record and medically fit for relocation
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a busy workshop environment
- Willing and able to relocate permanently to Ireland or the UK
