Business Data Analyst (Data Quality & Cleansing)  

Overview 

We are seeking Business Data Analysts to support a data quality initiative within the client value chain. The focus of the role is to identify, analyse, and resolve inconsistencies in large and complex datasets, ensuring improved data accuracy, integrity, and usability across business processes. 

The successful candidates will play a key role in driving data cleansing activities and supporting improvements in overall data quality. They should also be able to apply strong analytical thinking and, where applicable, leverage advanced analytics or AI-assisted approaches to identify patterns, anomalies, and data issues. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Analyse large datasets to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and data quality issues 

• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation across multiple data sources 

• Support remediation of data issues in collaboration with business and technical teams 

• Identify trends, anomalies, and root causes within data sets 

• Contribute to improving data quality and governance practices 

• Work with stakeholders across the value chain to understand data challenges 

• Where applicable, apply advanced analytics or AI-driven approaches to improve data quality detection and resolution 

Key Requirements 

• Experience as a Business Data Analyst or similar role 

• Strong background in data profiling, data quality, and data cleansing 

• Experience working with large and complex datasets 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Proficiency in SQL or other data analysis tools 

• Exposure to data governance or data management environments (advantageous) 

• Ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders 

• Exposure to advanced analytics or AI concepts (advantageous)
