Farm Manager and Property Caretaker required for a property based near Nottingham Road, Midlands 

Job Overview:

We are seeking a responsible and hands-on Farm Manager and Property Caretaker to oversee daily operations of a mixed-use farm, consisting of cattle, sheep, goats and vegetable production, and ensure that the main residence is maintained and fully prepared for the owners’ visits, especially over weekends. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in property upkeep and sustainable farm management.

Key Responsibilities:

Farm Management:

• Manage livestock (including feeding, breeding, health care).
• Oversee vegetable or crop production (where applicable).
• Supervise farm workers and contractors.
• Maintain and operate farm equipment and machinery.
• Handle procurement, stock inventory, and budget tracking.
• Implement seasonal farming plans and health protocols.

Property Caretaking:

• Ensure the main residence is cleaned, maintained, and in excellent condition at all times.
• Oversee garden maintenance and aesthetic upkeep of the property.
• Perform or coordinate basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.).
• Ensure security and readiness of the house for weekend stays by the owners and family.

Schedule & Availability:

• Weekend and Public Holiday Work: Candidates must be prepared to work on weekends and public holidays when the owners or their guests are on the farm.
• Flexible Weekday Schedule: Time off will be structured around the owners’ visits. Weekends may only be taken off when the owner’s family is not on the property.
