SHIMANSKY, a leading South African jeweller renowned for exceptional quality and design, is seeking a talented and experienced Jewellery Setter to join our growing team.

About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in crafting breathtaking masterpieces for our valued clientele. You'll utilize your expertise and precision to meticulously set diamonds and gemstones into our exquisite jewellery collections. This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Work with a variety of precious metals and gemstones
  • Utilize advanced setting techniques to achieve flawless results
  • Collaborate with designers and other artisans to bring their visions to life
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Candidate Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a setter in a high-end jewellery environment
  • Proficiency setting Natural Diamonds, Tanzanite and Gemstones
  •  In-depth knowledge of various setting techniques, including prong, bezel, pave, and channel setting
  • Proficiency in using specialized jeweller’s tools and equipment
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team
  • A strong understanding of safety protocols within a jewellery workshop
