As an Environmental Scientist, you will play a vital role in providing support and leadership across a range of environmental management fields, with a strong focus on environmental assessment and sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Independently manage Basic Assessment processes and/or provide crucial scientific input and support on comprehensive EIA projects.

·        Develop compelling proposals and produce high-quality environmental reports based on sound scientific analysis.

·        Effectively coordinate project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules.

·        Manage project budgets and resources efficiently.

·        Identify, appoint, and oversee the work of specialist consultants, ensuring scientific integrity.

·        Facilitate meaningful and productive engagement with diverse stakeholders, communicating scientific findings effectively.

Experience and Skills We Are Looking For:

·        A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management (Honours or higher)

·        Professional registration with EAPASA and/or SACNASP

·        4+ years of demonstrable experience in the environmental consulting sector, applying scientific principles to environmental challenges.

·        Proven experience in managing Basic Assessments and/or contributing significantly to EIAs in South Africa

·        Experience in a related specialist field such as biodiversity, socio-economic assessment, air quality, or climate change will be considered a strong advantage.

·        Excellent understanding and practical application of South African environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks, underpinned by scientific knowledge.
