Hire Resolve's client is seeking a passionate and creative Assistant Fashion Designer to join their dynamic team in Durban. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong eye for design, attention to detail, and a love for the ever-evolving world of fashion.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the head designer with creating seasonal collections from concept to final product.

• Conduct market and trend research to support design inspiration and direction.

• Develop sketches, technical drawings, and detailed design specs.

• Source fabrics, trims, and other materials, maintaining updated records.

• Participate in fittings and adjustments to ensure the perfect fit and finish.

• Communicate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to support timely production.

• Organize samples, mood boards, and design archives.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field.

• 1–2 years of experience in a fashion design role (internships included).

• Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software.

• Knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and fashion trends.

• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

• A collaborative attitude and a keen eye for detail.
