We are a full-service, integrated digital agency located in Cape Town. We have a wide variety of clients, predominantly in FMCG retail. We specialise in Social Media Marketing for these clients.
Role Summary: We are currently looking for a professional, confident and solutions-driven Digital Marketer with a flair for social media marketing and excellent writing skills. The successful candidate has excellent time management skills and an in-depth working understanding of marketing across different mediums. If you are an enthusiastic self-starter who works well independently as well as in a small team, is not scared of tight deadlines, is a creator at heart, we want to hear from you! As a small but expanding business, we have significant room for growth and ideas. This also means you will take ownership, get your hands dirty and expand beyond your skills and roles. This is a remote position, with some travel for work required.
Your role includes but is not limited to:
• Develop social content for publishing to social media platforms and campaigns
• Always be ready to react quickly to last-minute content changes as a result of operational challenges or delays.
• Assist with operational and administrative tasks, like reporting etc
• Manage effective and accurate delivery of final elements ensuring meticulous activation and attention to detail
• • Assist our social media team with social media copy and hashtags
• Write professional press releases for use on LinkedIn and other mediums
• Advise on social media best practices
- Proofreading of content from our designers
• Work with the team in compiling content calendars, creating campaign themes and the timelines therein
• Research and identify new social media trends; make recommendations to the team on how to apply
• Social media management (Including Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, Youtube and other relevant platforms)
• Social Media Community Management: establish customer interaction and engage with the brand community, interacting, replying to comments, responding to requests and reviews
- Be on duty for Community management every 2nd weekend
• Other duties as delegated by the owner and manager
Required Skills
- Copywriting: 3 to 4 years
- Social Media Marketing: 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
• At least two years of Marketing and Copywriting experience in a studio/agency environment (with references).
• Must provide a professional portfolio of samples, including brochure, email, technical writing, formal business writing and informal blog content to demonstrate excellence in content creation
• BA/BS in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience
• Must ideally be bilingual (Afrikaans and English). Written Xhoza/Zulu will be a plus
• 2-5 years of content writing and copywriting experience
• Excellent spelling, grammar and writing skills
• Expertise in creating content for various social media platforms
• Highly organised and meticulous attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills
• A positive attitude towards tight deadlines and needs to work well under extreme pressure
• Must be technology savvy and be able to use a range of applications and software like Office, among others.
• Must have a full and adequate internet connection at home to be able to manage online remote work effectively.
• Able to work independently with excellent time management
• Experience in managing digital content across all major social networks
• Think outside the box and enjoy a collaborative environment
• Keen interest in digital marketing
• Design Experience not required but highly beneficial
• A positive, calm and kind disposition.
