A leading provider of advanced security solutions, dedicated to safeguarding residential, commercial, and industrial properties, with services such as state-of-the-art CCTV systems, alarm installations, access control, and 24-hour monitoring, is seeking a security systems installation and repair technician.

As a security systems installation and repair technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting both CCTV and alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This role requires expertise in setting up and maintaining security systems, diagnosing faults, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and securely.

Minimum Requirements:
Matric
Valid drivers license
PSIRA registered
2 + years experience in alarm installation, maintenance and troubleshooting with alarm systems and IDS Panels
Access control experience advantageous
Ability to work independently

Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and test CCTV systems and alarm systems, including cameras, DVRs, NVRs, sensors, control panels, electric fences, gate motors, and other related equipment.
Perform wiring, cable management, and system integration for both CCTV and alarm installations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to both CCTV and alarm systems, including camera performance, sensor malfunctions, and network connectivity.
Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and system checks to ensure the proper functioning of CCTV and alarm systems.
Provide technical support to customers regarding operational queries, system usage, and troubleshooting advice.
Ensure all installations and repairs meet safety and security standards.
Document installation, maintenance, and repair work for future reference and client records.
Respond to urgent service calls and work efficiently to resolve technical problems on-site.
Collaborate with other teams to integrate CCTV and alarm systems with broader security solutions, such as access control or home automation systems.
