Hire Resolve is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable construction firm based in Cape Town. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is looking to make a significant impact in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects
• Manage and monitor project budgets to ensure financial efficiency
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to provide accurate financial data
• Analyze tenders and contracts, advising on potential risks and opportunities
• Oversee the final account processes, including cost reconciliation
• Ensure compliance with the clients' and industry standards
• Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders
• Negotiate contracts and variations with subcontractors and suppliers
• Assist in the procurement process and develop effective procurement strategies

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the construction sector
• Experience in the Building industry (Civil is not required)
• Strong knowledge of JBCC, FIDIC, and NEC contracts
• Experience working on Government projects
• Proficiency in cost estimation software such as WinQS and CCS Candy
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
