REQUIREMENTS:

Matric or equivalent
Qualified Toolmaker or Jig and Dye Maker possession of a red seal with a minimum of five years solid experience
Ability to read and design from a drawing.
Full knowledge of machinery inclusive of milling machine, lathe, hand tools amongst others
Material knowledge
Sound planning, organising, leading, and controlling skills.
Proven supervisory experience – inclusive of motivational skills and conflict handling.
Quality conscious and committed to quality.
Good Business English written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate and give feedback effectively.
Accuracy and attention to detail essential
Good attendance record
A good team player capable of delivering results under pressure and to strict deadlines.
Positive, “can do” attitude; enthusiasm and honesty are the characteristics

DUTIES:

Manufacturing and Maintenance of all Production Tooling according to specification
Quality checks in accordance with ISO procedures and referencing technical drawings.
Achieving standard times, set targets and delivery dates.
Supervising department, conducting morning meetings, and participating in production meetings
Overtime may be required in this position.
General housekeeping of the area as well as housekeeping of the machinery and tools.

Shift work, including night shifts
