CARDIO-THORACIC SCRUB NURSE

MIDRAND / CENTURION-AREA

To deliver safe, comprehensive, and quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice.

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in General Nursing (essential)

• Midwifery; Postgraduate certificate/ diploma in relevant specialty area (advantage)

• Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols

• Pharmacology

• Scientific nursing principles and processes

• Nursing record keeping

• Patient assessment skills

• Nursing processes and procedures

• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

• Develop/modify a nursing care plan

• Relevant nursing legislation

• Basic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialized wards)

• Risk identification
