Job Position: Import Customs Entry Clerk

Qualifications / Requirements:

·        Grade 12

·        Logistics qualification or any Freight Forwarding qualification or courses highly advantageous

·        Experience with System – Shipshape

·        SDS customs clearing course part 1 and 2 – minimum qualification and / or minimum of 5 years experience

·        Experience with general import entry – SARS knowledge regarding import VAT and duties, rules and regulations that can relate to any penalties, under declaring and over declaring on value of cargo

·        Understanding and have general knowledge on Customs related matters + tariff headings

·        Good Communication skills in English, Afrikaans and Xhosa (highly advantageous)

·        Customs related matters + tariff headings

·        Communicating with SARS
