Candidate Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Must have a Minimum 4 year’s supervisory experience in a structural construction and pipping environment. Must be able to pass screening assessments. Computer Literate. M

Arrive on site before and leave site after the subcontractor to ensure teams are allocated to scheduled works, labour is sufficient, materials and tools are available, site is cleaned, and that tools and materials are secured prior to leaving. Maintain a management presence by being on site when weekend or overtime work is required Attend all site meetings.

Daily diaries to be completed, provided to the project manager daily, to record the following: Site agent and subcontractor arrival and departure time on site.

Names of all subcontractor staff on site that match and deviate from the ID’s in the safety file and inductions completed. Number of sprinklers and meterage of piping installed to track the productivity/programme agreed with the project manager. Ensure the subcontractor supervisor countersigns the diary daily to reach agreement on issues encountered, productivity achieved and corrective actions.

Project manager, site agent and subcontractor supervisor to determine and agree the program and labour requirements for the day and week. Any work not completed as per the previous days/week’s schedules must be action planned for recovery. Inspect, ensure access to areas and prepare materials and equipment for the following day’s/week’s work.

Risk Management

Carry out and record toolbox talks as per safety requirements. Ensure that all staff and labour have the correct PPE.

Ensure that subcontractor’s safety file is maintained and kept up to date.

Assist with the safety audit when the health & safety consultant is on site.

Conduct incident investigations when required.

Ensure all stock, equipment and materials are placed in a secure area/storage and issued under supervision.

Housekeeping

Ensure materials and equipment are stored in a safe, tidy, and proper manner, both on site as well as within the site establishment. Site establishment must be maintained in a clean, tidy and orderly manner daily. Ensure that stock is allocated and stored for the applicable area of installation as per the planning with the client and project manager.
