Job Description
SGS South Africa is looking for a strong HR Manager to provide an effective and efficient human resource corporate support function aligned with company strategy through successful implementation of HR strategy in partnership with business strategy.

§ Performance Management
Strengthen the understanding and utilization of the SGS TalentForce Online Performance Management System for EXCO and Payspace Performance Management by assisting to ensure effective performance management practices are in place as per Deadlines.
Implement and manage the SGS TalentForce Online Performance Management and Payspace Performance Management process in an effective and efficient manner as per deadlines.
Ensure that performance management is standardized according to Global initiatives
Ensure regular performance management training activities are implemented within the affiliate and provide on-going coaching to both supervisors and employees
Managing, evaluate and reporting of results of the SGS TalentForce Online Performance Management and Payspace Performance Management System
§ Human Resources Projects
Coordinate, assist and or Manage Local and Global HR Projects/initiatives as when required
Coordinate and manage all acquisitions as and when necessary
§ Expatriate Management
Assisting all expats in South Africa as per the Expatriate Policy
Manage and deal with different agencies to get necessary visas and extensions
Manage entire process from application to come to different country, whilst in country as well as when exiting
§ Audits
· Closing of finding in terms of all audits done in the HR Department
· Deloitte’s Audit
· Geneva Audit (4 yearly)
· Internal Quality Audit (Quality Division)
· Internal Safety Audit (Operational Integrity Division)
· Internal HR Audits (HR & Payroll Division on systems and personnel files)
· Internal VIP (To see info is up to date on IR, Training etc.)
§ Sub Regional Duties
To provide the Sub Regional HR Manager with all the necessary HR support in ensuring that Sub Regional HR plans, objectives duties and responsibilities are effectively and efficiently managed and executed, this includes but is not limited to:-
General HR Support
Coordinating and collation of information for Sub Regional HR Dashboard
General Administrative Support
§ Learning and Development
Identify training - / competence - / skills needs in the different departments
Co-ordinate career development, succession planning and talent management needs in partnership with the divisional / Business line manager
Managing Induction training and SHINE Onboarding Programme with all new employees starting at SGS
Assist L&D in ensuring all mandatory training as per deadlines
Driving HR related training initiative such as Supervisory Training, IR Training and any training needs identified by HR to better company performance
Ensure all recruitment policies, procedures and techniques are adhered to and recommend improvement
Compile, change and improve the interview guide as per specific vacancy
Regret candidates who have been unsuccessful in their applications and give them feedback
Maintain an active and organized database of applicants for various positions
Generate accurate recruitment related reports as needed
§ General Administration Services
Compiling of Management/Corporate reports as and when required
Responsible to manage and maintain South Africa HR Dashboard
Manage and maintain GEP interface
Maintain all HR Policies, Procedures and processes in line with SGS Group guidelines, local legislation and ensure electronic availability thereof
Update and Maintain relevant HRIS – Payspace, Talentforce, Glint, GEP etc.
Manage and maintain and update all personnel files including electronic files
Ensure regular communication of organizational and personnel related changes to all employees within the affiliate and Sub Region
Comply and promote, at all times, the SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct to preserve and enhance SGS reputation as a socially responsible company
Maintain and update Corporate Sustainability Report as per corporate guidelines and deadlines
Assist in CTC Package calculations when required
Reviewing and updating of al HR documentation for example, engagement pack, contracts of employment
Document Control as per policy
Attending Operational meetings as required from HR
Provide various entities and or Business Lines with in and out of country to establish HR projects accordingly.
§ Management of the HR Business Partners that service the business/functions
§ Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
§ Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
Education
Minimum 3 year degree/diploma in Human Resources
Experience
§ Minimum 5 years HR experience in a medium organization of 1000+ employees
§ At least 5 years’ experience as a successful HR Manager in a corporate support environment.
§ Minimum 5 years HR generalist experience
§ Experience of the Southern Africa Region will be highly desirable
