Belgium Campus, a tertiary education institution, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Head of IT Support to provide onsite and remote support for a variety of IT hardware and software, including personal computers and peripherals, mobile phones, VoIP network printers, servers, and network hardware. ·Installation and maintenance of IT infrastructure;
·Responsible for the ongoing management of the Campus’s IT system, ensuring that the software, hardware systems, LAN and WAN, run smoothly
·Ensure and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and find ways to measure and improve it. This includes monitoring the overall quality of service, liaise with management and customers, plan for improvement and disaster mitigation,
·Oversee and manage the IT support professionals,
·Assist with the organisation’s technology and equipment, including installation and maintenance
·Monitoring and correcting environment for faults, failures and capacity;
·Interfacing with management and lecturers;
·Providing technical consulting to technicians.
·Install and maintain all desktop & laptop hardware for all staff, students, and external clients
·Install and maintain all computer peripherals e.g.: printers etc.
·Liaise with external providers for hardware support & repair and support
·Obtain quotes, liaise with suppliers, liaise with finance, submit purchase orders.
Key Performance Area:
·Answers, evaluates, and prioritises logged requests for assistance from users requiring assistance with requests.
Logs and tracks calls using incident and problem management.
Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follows up on routine user problems
Software and Hardware Installations and Support:
Installs desktop and laptop computers for use on campus with the relevant authorised software and completes the relevant documentation.
Sets up and support for boardrooms, classrooms for training use.
Information Technology Administrative Functions:
Liaises with service providers on information technology equipment and repairs and maintenance thereof.
Maintains the information technology storeroom, server room and office by keeping it neat and tidy and free of any health and safety risks.
Must be able to work on evenings and Saturdays when required.
