Use analytics tools for various social platforms to be able to compile weekly social performance.
Revise work to ensure accuracy of content produced as well as to meet approved standards;
Post articles onto the calendar with category, working title and working date and update if changes are made;
Share knowledge of trends to improve the media update platform and social media.
Keep up with local and international trends in media, marketing, PR and social media;
Research a story's background information to provide complete and accurate information;
Research and pitch various story ideas in weekly meetings;
Contact various relevant sources for approved stories;
Check the credibility of different sources used.
Communicate ideas with the team and participate in brainstorming sessions;
Attend weekly meetings with media update;
Updating the team calendar accordingly;
Share knowledge and opinions regarding other team members' content ideas;
Identify areas of improvement for the team and offer solutions;
Ensure effective communication on a regular basis on the various communication platforms.
Communicate with PRs regarding potential interviews and events;
Communicate with Newsclip and affiliate brands for information regarding blogs and social media posts;
Provide feedback in terms of any IT issues to Managing Editor and Managing Director, to be presented in a collated document to the IT department when necessary;
Attend relevant industry events as necessary.
Completed degree in a relevant Field (Journalism, Copywriting).
1-3 years' in a similar role.
