Paper Plane Publications is a company involved in publishing of monthly magazines as well as the hosting of industry specific Trade Events.
We are looking for a young and vibrant Sales Exec to join our small yet dynamic team in the Cape Town CBD offices.
The position will focus mainly on the selling of stand space for our upcoming annual Trade Show being held at the CTICC.
The position will also include the sales of advertising space in our monthly magazine for the Design, Build and Maintenance sectors.
The candidate will be required to make contact with potential new clients and set up sales meetings. This includes both cold calling and retaining existing clients. The candidate will be adding to an existing database and creating a spreadsheet to show prospects, new companies, and retained business.
You will be required to present your spreadsheet at the end of each week to the editor and to contribute to the business developments of the brand.
A fantastic commission will be rewarded for the meeting and exceeding of sales targets.

This is a sales position & candidates will need to have a clear understanding of what that entails:
Strong written and verbal communicator
Junior/ Mid Level position for entry into the Media and Event sales sector
Completely computer literate (Excel, Word)
Self motivated with a drive for selling
Organised and productive
Previous experience with Trade Show sales is a bonus
Must have 1-3 years experience in sales environment
Must be target driven
