Our client, a financial service provider, requires the service of a Desk Consultant who will be responsible for driving sales and growing market share by quoting for a select panel of Brokers.

Key performance areas:

  • Drive new business sales by quoting for a select panel of brokers
  • Building and maintaining broker relationships
  • Sign off on rates, underwriting limits and underwriting guidelines 

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

  • Matric with a completed RE5 qualification 
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • 5 years’ experience in short term insurance environment
  • Financial Services experience in a marketing/sales environment
  • Financial Services Product Knowledge (Sanlam and competitors) 
  • Must be client focused and result driven
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft office & must be able to do system processing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Fully bilingual – English & Afrikaans) 
  • Effective negotiation skills 
  • Be able to work under pressure
