The New Business Development Consultant will be required to effectively sell and market Newsclip products to new and existing clients and thereafter maintain prolonged relationships with the clients.

Client Liaison:

  • Sell and market all Newsclip products to new and existing clients;
  • Dealing with client requests, queries and problems effectively and efficiently;
  • Create or update client contracts accurately and send quotations when necessary;
  • Follow up on outstanding contracts and proposals with all clients;
  • Finding and contacting potential leads;
  • Obtain new business as per predetermined targets;
  • Ensure courtesy calls are made to clients as predetermined by the Call Function;
  • Attend and professionally manage clients meetings;
  • Ensure that all necessary communication is made with clients effectively and efficiently;

Product Coordination:

  • Navigate all systems and products efficiently and effectively in order to perform the role correctly;

Internal Liaison:

  • Ensure that effective inter-departmental and regional communication takes place;
  • Follow up on financial queries via the Accounts Department;
  • Stakeholder satisfaction;
  • Quantity of new business brought on board;
  • Queries resolved in a timeous manner;
  • Accurate usage of CRM;
  • CRM and Bitco Call logs;
  • Targets met with courtesy calls;


  • Information captured efficiently on the CRM system;
  • Ensure all necessary Sales administration is completed timeously;
  • Effective and effecient hand-over of clients in accordance to the predetermined support cycle;
  • Ensure accuracy and accessibility of recorded information on the CRM system;
  • Ensure that deadlines are met;


  • Provide coaching and mentoring to new starters;
  • Stakeholeder satisfaction;
  • Client feedback;
  • Staff performance;
  • Awareness levels of support staff;
  • Be able to present and provide training to clients on products.


Candidate Requirements


  • Completed Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (Public Relations, Marketing, Media or Communications)


  • 4 - 6+ Years of Sales experience with extensive experience in new business.


  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • Ability to plan and organise;
  • Sense of urgency;
  • Ability to cope in an ever changing environment;
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Deliver 100% excellence, 100% of the time;
  • Ability to strategise;
