International Financial Accountant (CHE057)

Cape Town

R 25 000 to R 35 000 per month

We are looking for an exceptionally driven, young person with a global mindset to buildout a shared services department for our multinational client. This multi-currency, multi-company and multi-jurisdictional accounting role will require the applicant to have a positive can-do attitude, sound accounting knowledge and great communication skills.

 

Primary Tasks:

Your responsibilities will include general ledger maintenance, journal processing, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset administration and Statutory Compliance. Statutory compliance entails European activities which include VAT, Intrastat, SOX controls, Waste reporting, Income tax, National statistic & National Bank reporting, local Financial Statements and external audit management.

 

Qualifications

·         Essential

·         Bachelor degree in Accounting / Senior Book keeping certificate and relevant experience

·         Advantageous

·         SAICA or SAIPA articles

 

Experience

Essential

·         General ledger processing

·         Balance sheet reconciliations

·         2 years financial accounting experience

·         Advanced level of excel proficiency using excel to manipulate Big data

·         Strong focus on process automation

 

Advantageous

·         Experience working on European countries particularly UK

·         Inventory recording

 

Computer skills

·         Essential

·         MS Excel, word, outlook

Advantageous

·         SAP / Oracle

·         HFM / BFC

·         Blackline

·         Ability to take ownership of allocated tasks and drive to completion, streamlining and automating processes

·         Comfortable to work independently in a growing, fast-paced environment
