Main duties and tasks would include, but is not limited to;

General Duties:

  • To service the start-to-end accounting functions for new and existing clients
  • To maintain and build a courteous and beneficial relationship with all customers.
  • To promote the image of the business at all times through means of a positive customer contact.

 

Specific Duties:

  • Bookkeeping to Trial Balance
  • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements would be advantageous
  • Pastel Accounting skills must be excellent
  • Thorough working experience on Excel
  • Payroll processing
  • TAX and VAT calculations, returns and submissions for individuals and juristic entities
  • Various legislative submissions such as EMP201, VAT201, etc
  • Maintain and file all client documents
  • Other related ad-hoc and administrative functions

Required Skills

  • bookkeeping : 1 to 2 years

Candidate Requirements

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification would be advantageous
  • Be Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
  • Proficiency in Pastel Accounting
  • Proficiency in Payroll Software (e.g. VIP / Pastel) - Advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Proficiency in Outlook E-mail
  • Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems, such as filing and proper record keeping
  • At least 1 years’ experience with SARS e-filing and compliance
  • 1 - 3 years’ accounting/bookkeeping experience
  • Clear credit and criminal record
