Karcher, the world’s leading manufacturer & supplier of cleaning equipment, is searching for a Service Consultant based at the East Rand branch in Germiston. The successful candidate should be expected to manage all retail service repairs and warranty repairs

 

Job Description

 

  • ­To ensure that quotes are sent out to customers within 48 hours of machines being booked in.
  • ­All PODS relating to service repairs to be signed and filed away.
  • ­To keep all paperwork relating to stock transfers, scrapings and communication filed away.
  • ­To document all complaints in a formal manner and filed accordingly in Outlook, filing etc…
  • ­To ensure that all Retail service technicians have their work planned and scheduled the day before.
  • ­To achieve monthly service targets by being pro-active and following up on order numbers.
  • ­To provide feedback on service complaints to the service manager.
  • ­Quality of repair work to be kept at a high standard by conducting random spot checks   and addressing any issues.
  • ­Ensure that repairs which are older than 6 months pending order numbers get scrapped or sent back to the customer. All relevant communication to be documented and filed.
  • ­Monitor and manage back orders and ensure that there are no open deliveries at month end.
  • ­To pro-actively follow up on order numbers.
  • ­Service repair invoices to be signed off at all times.
  • ­Ensure that service consultants and service technicians are aware of their duties at the daily service meeting.

Candidate Requirements

A presentable individual possessing the following developed personal skills and personality:

  • Brilliant command of the English language and content writing
  • Above average communication skills (telephone and face to face)
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize tasks
  • Trustworthy
  • Work independently and be self-motivated
  • Dedicated focus on meeting targets and results

 

 

Candidate Requirements  

 

  • Matric
  • 1 years’ experience in handling service related issues such as customer queries
  • The ability to work well within a team
  • Stock handling and general admin work
  • Must have strong communication skills and planning skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • The successful candidate will be expected to start in January
