An opportunity has become available for a Finance Manager: Sales (Revenue Growth Manager). This role, which reports directly to the Finance Director, is an integral link between the finance and sales functions and therefore it is essential that the applicants are able to demonstrate the ability to interact with the sales function at the highest level. The incumbent is expected to be hands on, detail orientated, analytical and committed to sound processes and communication.

The successful candidate will be required to oversee the sales commercial finance function by:
* Maintaining control of the sales administration function; and
* Driving the development, implementation and presentation of streamlined reporting to improve transparency, understanding and decision making around the cost of doing business with customers, customer margins, co-op expenditure as well as return on investment calculations for key activities.
* Actively engaging with the Sales Director and customer managers to support the management of customer returns with the attendance of customer negotiations, when required.

This will require the ability to think differently and assimilate and simplify large volumes of information from varying sources through the preparation of analyses to support decision making and drive improved customer margin management is critical. This will include the utilisation of systems/tools to optimise information delivery to the business, the undertaking of financial feasibility analysis, evaluations or business projects and advising on the optimization of profitability.

Overall management of the sales commercial finance function including the Sales Administration Managers and the Revenue Growth Manager.
Provide analysis, insights and recommendations to decision makers to maximise profitability through top line growth in both the wholesale and retail channels.
Develop and manage a margin management mindset in the business through strong analysis of the cost of customer trade terms, discount management and co-op expenditure providing insight into customer margins and profitability across each of our categories.This includes the analysis of customer and product mix to drive greater understanding of profitability drivers and ensure that mix is optimised.
Provide input into pricing decisions through the co-ordination and control of the pricing strategy, in conjunction with the category commercial managers. This includes providing recommendations for price increases, modelling pricing elasticity, evaluating the volume value equation and serving other commercial sales requirements.
Preparation of promotional return on investment calculations prior to and post the activation of activities to support profitability improvement and increase the efficiency of promotional activities. This includes the development of tailored tools to support investment recommendations.
Coordinating the preparation of the sales annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes with input from other functions in the business.
Taking on and driving ad-hoc analysis for sales projects as and when required.
Drive continued improvement in information delivery to the business through the implementation and development of systems/tools.

A minimum of 5 years' functional experience as a Commercial / Senior Finance Manager in a manufacturing / FMCG organization.

A completed Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance or Accounting.
A completed CA (SA) qualification advantageous.

Strong commercial instincts aligned to understanding of our brand proposition to consumers.
Good IT skills, including the use of business modelling tools (exposure to Hyperion EssBase, Aztec or Nielsen and SAP).
Proven understanding of data modeling and application of business rules to data.
