My client, a well established concern in the retail (fast food) sector is seeking to employ an Industrial Engineer to join their Development team. Main purpose for this position is to manage the Warehouse, Distribution and Maintenance teams. This position would be suited to a graduate with min 2 - 3 years Project Management experience at operational level.

The successful candidate will simplify existing core processes and land new ones in a mindful way, ensuring that the operations teams have everything they need to deliver day to day.



  • Test and launch all new systems, work and process flow

  • Team up with Operators to improve restaurant efficiencies (Stock, Labour, other expenses)

  • Custodian of the Operations Capacity tool and applying it on all restaurants

  • Partner with rest of the business and/or lead teams to deliver game-changing initiatives

  • Evolve their system approach to a common operating platform around Operations and Technology

  • Manage, improve and integrate the Repair and Maintenance team and their processes

  • Manage, improve and integrate the Warehousing and distribution process

  • Supply Chain management and process, claims and rebates from suppliers

  • Bring critical external know-how to the management team specifically to drive a technology-oriented mindset


Experience and skills:



  • A clear understanding of the P&L and workings of a consumer-facing company

  • Team leadership skills, including getting results through others, engaging and empowering others, coaching for performance, and working cross functionally

  • Exceptional project management, influencing and communications skills

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a structured and methodical manner

  • A strong and proven desire to build know-how for yourself and for the organization

  • A massive drive for results


Requirements:



  • Relevant qualification (Project Management, Industrial Engineering)

  • Min 2 - 3 years project management experience at operational level (retail operations)

  • Valid licence and own vehicle
