A Well Established, Reputable and Long-Standing Organization has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Auditor within the Team Support Office, Umhlanga. This role is responsible for providing support to relevant Managers and to be solely responsible for assigned projects, To improve the business processes and controls around betting and support functions to the business as a whole and To aid Audit Supervisors in performing the functions and to help develop the functions and to help develop the department to meet the needs of the business.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree with a major in Accounting.
  • Completed SAICA Articles.
  • 1-2 Years Administrative experience is advantageous.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and evaluating new and existing controls.
  • Recommend improvements to further mitigate company risk and improve efficiencies.
  • Prepare test procedures for continuous auditing program.
  • Determine compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Flow chart the above procedures.
  • Travel extensively.
  • Continuously looking to improve efficiency and effectiveness through ongoing learning and new techniques.
  • Organize and follow up of stock take with Warehouse Supervisor and assist with investigating variances.
  • Determine scope and approach of audit in conjunction with the Audit Manager.
  • Follow up on audit findings to ensure adequacy and timeliness of corrections.
  • Supervise Audit Clerks during the execution of audits and review of daily audits.
  • Prepare appraisal forms for the Audit Manager.
  • Establish risk-based audit programs.
  • Share relevant data with management teams to enable reliable business decision making.
  • Perform consulting activities and ad hoc assignments as they arise.
  • Ensure deadline is met for relevant tasks.
  • Attendance of stock counts.
  • Perform checks on manual journals for validity and accuracy of transactions.
  • Report findings of material value.
  • Ensure department policies are being followed by team members.
  • Ad hoc audit procedures.

  • Impressive planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient coaching and training capabilities.
  • Must have a strong sense of accountability.
  • Follows through and delivers results despite any obstacles.
  • Must be result driven.
  • Excellent computer literacy and administration skills.
  • Good report writing skills. (Verbal and written).
