The CFO heads the Finance department and reports directly to the board of directors. This role also works closely with the COO, other senior managers and operations team.

This role has primary responsibility for managing the company’s finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping and financial reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

  • CA(SA)
  • 3 – 5 years post articles experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the financial services industry
  • Proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel skills are essential)

Priorities and Accountabilities

  • Financial Reporting and Planning
  • Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
  • Cash Management, Financial Accounting and Corporate Finance Competenc
  • Risk assessment, compliance, correspondence with external auditors, and corporate governanc
  • Review and signoff of monthly management account
  • Assist in the determination of product pricing in relation to features offered and competitor pricin
  • Interpret the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activitie
  • Efficient financial and tax strategie
  • Timeous completion of audited financial statements and related reports and submission thereof where relevan
  • Timeous completion and approval of annual budget
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the senior management tea
  • Determination of the correct accounting methodology for new products, transactions and business lines, and implementation of the relevant accounting processes and control
