A digital marketing and PR agency comprising of 30+ talented individuals spread across two cities. Translating what brands do in the real world into an online presence to create awareness, generate desire and grow brands. Looking for an SEO Director to ensure the overall smooth functionality of the SEO arm in the agency. Enabling the customers and ensuring they strive towards achieving their business goals.

 

Management:

  • Build and manage the SEO function of the agency
  • Manage the client portfolio, taking responsibility for growing revenue as well as the day to day management of these accounts
  • Build and sustain strong and long-lasting relationships with client-side managers and maintain frequent contact with any other third-party agencies used by each client
  • To specifically identify, propose, upsell and implement new projects and campaigns in order to meet and exceed each customer’s ROI and service expectations and to maximize revenue
  • Actively propose and help implement new and innovative strategies to meet and exceed the department’s overall revenue and profit targets
  • Work closely with the technical delivery teams in delivering an outstanding service to retain and grow all client accounts
  • Proactively advise clients about SEO landscape developments and ensure that account strategies are adapted in a timely fashion to meet all relevant requirements
  • Understand the features and benefits of all the agency’s products and services to successfully promote these to clients
  • Maintain a strong understanding of all things digital, including SEO, Social Media, PPC, eMail, Website, Mobile, Content etc.

Technical:

  • Execute technical audits on websites with recommendations for developers, as well as implementation checks
  • Conduct regular health checks on websites to ensure optimal performance
  • Continuously check search terms, rankings and analytics to monitor performance of client websites and make recommendations for improvement
  • Execute off page activities including off page audits, link building and outreach with content to build website authority and gain effective backlinksExecute keyword research for effective targeting to ensure maximum visibility for the client
  • Write on page meta tags and content optimization to ensure content is fully optimized according to keyword research
  • Conduct Local SEO tasks to optimize visibility in Google My Business and directory listings
  • Monitor and report website performance with insights for clients

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven SEO experience
  • Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Experience with bid management tools (e.g., Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite)
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
