We are looking for a Quantitative Analyst who has experience in developing credit risk models across the customer credit life cycle.

In line with our client’s transformation plan, suitably qualified African Black (AB) candidates who meet the criteria for the role will be given preference

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop models and provide insightful analytics at a brand level.
  • Present your models and analytical findings at credit committee level.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and be open to new modelling approaches and techniques.
  • Work under limited supervision
  • Influence creative business solutions
  • Optimise processes
  • inform strategic decisions through statistical modelling and data analysis
  • Assist with the entire model value chain
  • Continuously assess your own performance
  • Seek timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
  • Ensure compliance to legislative and audit requirements and relevant processes
  • Drive Customer Service Delivery Goal achievement in line with predefined standards

Required Skills

  • quantitative analysis : 3 to 4 years
  • consumer credit : 3 to 4 years

  • Credit Lifecycle : 3 to 4 years

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications, Competencies & Skills 

  • Recognised qualification with a mathematical/statistical focus: BBusSc, BEng, BSc, BCom

·         Knowledge of statistical and mathematical models and methodologies

·         Credit lifecycle understanding.

·         PC literate with solid analytical skills in SAS/SQL or similar analytical tools.

·         Analytical and thorough with good attention to detail.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with postgrad qualifications
  • Strong mathematical, statistical and analytical abilities

  • Eager to constantly learn new statistical/modelling techniques and software
  • Team player
  • Business acumen is advantageous
