This is the role for you

Our primary clients are focused towards the middle market, professional, high net worth and targeted individuals, families and businesses.

As financial planner, you will be responsible for sourcing and developing new clients and maintaining customer relationships, as well as the delivery of financial wellness strategies to the client. This will involve new business development, maintaining regular communication with clients, and working in consultation with their accountants, lawyers, etc. where applicable.

Also, this position requires that the financial planner works well with client support personnel, including product specialists and administrators, in delivering best-of-breed financial solutions and other pertinent financial services.

Our ideal candidate is:

A finance/commerce/marketing graduate, is Fit and Proper and has at least three years’ experience.


Candidate Requirements

New business development and marketing

  1. Develop leads and referrals from current clients and outside contacts/follow up provider
  2. leads;
  3. The ability to prospect, convert, cross-sell and up-sell in line with our “hunting and farming approach” to sales and offer value-added products and services;
  4. Participate in sales meetings with prospective clients and colleagues;
  5. Prepare a detailed Financial Needs Analysis (FNA) for every client, individual and/or business together with recommended advice. Document professional proposals in person, or via written commentaries.

Client service

  • Extensive communication with clients and other advisers;
  • Ability to discuss and interpret investment performance, economic and market trends with and for clients;
  • Deliver presentations on financial and tax planning options and opportunities;
  • Direct consultation with attorneys, accountants and other advisers on financial, tax and estate planning;
  • Client meeting planning, facilitation and presentation;
  • Develop and/or deliver private wealth education sessions for and to clients and staff.

Financial planning:

  • Develop knowledge of a client’s entire financial and family situation and structure a goals-based investment and financial plan observing the principles of protection and creation of wealth principles, during their journey to financial wellness;
  • Follow best-practice financial planning house views in relation to financial planning processes;
  • Discuss and advise on estate planning, retirement planning, investment planning, tax planning, cash flow management and work with internal and external resources to meet the client’s planning goals;
  • Provide recommendations to individuals on creating/maintaining family trusts and/or foundations, enabling them to fulfil their goals pertaining to mission/impact investing, mitigation and protection of risk.

Life and investment financial advisers

We are looking for both independent and tied, life and investment advisers to join our dynamic team. To be considered you need a successful track record of at least three years practising as a financial adviser.

Competencies required:

  • Industry Knowledge

Minimum qualifications:

  • As an existing adviser, you are fully accredited and Fit & Proper:
  • With a Wealth Management qualification, degree or equivalent in a related field (Investments, Finance, Law, Accounting/Tax, Economics, Business Administration) and/or three years’ related experience;
  • At least one NQF5 Wealth Management, CFP® certification or related qualification/s
  • Regulatory Exam RE5
