The purpose of this position is to ensure the timeous and correct payment of remuneration of all staff in accordance to individual employment contracts, the South African tax legislation, South African Labour law as well as the rules and regulations as set by the various unions, medical aid and pension funds applicable to the group's companies. In conjunction to this the group's financial reports and statements should reflect the correct cost of emploment.


The Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee data administration
  • VIP payroll processing
  • Statutory reporting, declarations and payments
  • Reporting and integration with finance
  • Payroll maintenance and processing (weekly and monthly)

Candidate Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Minimum qualification is Diploma in Accounting (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in salaries and weekly payroll processing
  • MS Office knowledge and experience is essential
  • Time and Attendance (ERS Biometrics would be a great advantage)
  • Excellent knowledge of the BCEA, the Income Tax Act, LRA, COIDA, BBBEE Act and the Skills Development Act 
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate high attention to detail
  • Understanding of CTC payroll
  • Intermediate knowledge of human resource management systems and practices
  • Advanced VIP Premier knowledge (Certification will be advantageous)
  • Excellent communication skills- written and oral (Fluent in English)
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
