There is currently a vacancy in Picardi Rebel for a Junior Stock Controller to service the Groblersdal/Limpopo area. 

Job Purpose: 

To support business efficiency through the effective management of the national audit function.

Key Inputs: 

 1. Audit Planning & Scheduling

  • Adhere to desk and Site audits as per the National audit plan that is developed annually on or before the stipulated deadline by the Senior Regional Auditor
  • Audit frequencies are determined by risk associated with relevant audit areas as well as recommendations from the Operations Director and Senior Regional Auditor
  • A full audit must be performed in every store at least once every two months

2.    Standard Desk Audit & Preparation for Site Audit 

  • Relevant information and documentation is obtained from the Support Service Department in question
  • Information is audited against standard requirements and problem areas are identified and highlighted for reporting to and discussion with relevant management 

3. (Operational, Financial, Compliance, Internal Control Reviews) 

  • Audit is conducted at store in accordance with standard requirements and audit documents
  • Relevant supporting documents are obtained from Store Manager
  • Preliminary audit results and areas of non conformance are discussed with Store Manager prior to leaving the store

4. Finalisation of Standard Audits and Follow Up 

  • Audit report is finalised in accordance with standard requirements and within stipulated timeframes
  • Action plan/feedback is obtained from Store Manager within stipulated timeframes
  • Audit report and action plan is submitted to relevant management within the stipulated timeframe
  • Audit review is scheduled with Store Manager
  • Consequence review is scheduled with all relevant parties where audit results are unacceptable
  • Returns submitted to Head Office are checked for implementation of action plans monthly 

5. Forensic Audits

  • When instructed by Senior Regional Auditor polygraph tests are conducted at stores in accordance with standard requirements and audit documents
  • When instructed forensic audits are conducted at stores in accordance with standard requirements and audit documents
  • Relevant supporting documents are obtained from Store Manager
  • Preliminary audit results and areas of non conformance are communicated immediately to Senior Regional Auditor

6. Liaison with External Audit Providers 

  • Implementation of required corrective actions is monitored and non compliance is reported on within stipulated timeframes

7. Implementation and Management of Legislative Requirements 

  • Internal processes and system audits are conducted at stipulated intervals to ensure quality standards are adhered to
  • Trends in non conformances and other quality weaknesses are identified and brought to the attention of Superior
  • Appropriate preventative action is taken to address negative trends in respect of non conformances
  • Quality related processes, procedures and practices are reviewed to optimise efficiencies and recommendations are made to Superior 

8. Management of Human Resources (Subordinates)

  • New appointments meet the requirements of the job specification and preference is given in terms of employment equity goals
  • Performance is monitored and reviewed at stipulated times
  • Training or development needs of direct reports are identified, planned for and implemented
  • Discipline is maintained
  • Ongoing structured training needs analysis by auditors in respect of high risk areas
  • Effective communication is practiced
  • Subordinates report harmonious relationships

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Grade 12 – NQF 5
  • Tertiary Education – Accounting or related would be an Advantage
  • 3-6 Years experience in retail environment (FMCG) 1-2 Years experience in a managerial position  In-house Auditing on report RECON 
  • Candidate must be available immediately or within 2 weeks
