ENERGY • ELECTRICITY GENERATION AND DISTRIBUTION
BASIC SALARY COMMENCING FROM R153 941 PER ANNUM • REF.: NRG 89/18
The City of Cape Town (Energy Services) has one-year contractual positions for Learner Technicians, who hold a National Diploma (S Stream) or Diploma (N Stream) or require in-service training to obtain their S4 Diploma in the below disciplines:
a) Protection Field Services (protection and SCADA pre-commissioning testing audits and fault repairs, maintenance testing, audits and fault repairs)
b) Engineering (planning and design of medium voltage and low voltage distribution systems/project management/customer connections)
c) Geo-Information Science (GIS) - Geo Informatics/Cartography/Geography
d) SCADA Field Services (protection pre-commissioning testing, maintenance testing, audits and fault repairs)
e) SCADA - Network Control (configuring network hardware/device image and back-up management/fire-walling/cyber security/software programming)
f) Measurement - (automation, operations and investigations)
g) Network Control Centre Operations (compile switching programmes/updating relevant network control documents/conducting load flow studies/compile reports/network operating activities and tasks under supervision)
