SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER: AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT
BASIC SALARY FROM R369 370 – R388 370 PER ANNUM • REF.: HS 63/18
Key Performance Areas: • Regulate activities listed in terms of the NEM: Air Quality Act • Administer all aspects related to the processing of Atmospheric Emission Licences, related Specialist Studies and Environmental Impact Assessments • Manage the implementation of projects to address Informal Settlement Air Quality Management in terms of the Air Quality Management Plan • Approval of fuel burning appliances • Investigation and resolution of air pollution complaints • Conduct compliance and enforcement actions in terms of the relevant Air Quality Management legislation • Maintenance and Auditing of Emissions inventory data bases of the City and the National Atmospheric Emission Inventory System • Perform related administrative duties • Continuous personal development by attending relevant courses to improve capacity • Liaise with the community and other stakeholders regarding environmental air pollution matters.
