BASIC SALARY COMMENCING FROM R326 404 PER ANNUM • REF.: FIN 80/18

Key Performance Areas: Perform routine data/information extraction/analysis and disseminate the results to data/information consumers according to agreed-upon schedules. Given a scenario where no prior solution to meet the requirements of a task/project exists: design, develop, test and implement solutions using the Microsoft SQL Server Given a scenario where an existing solution requires modification to meet the requirements of a task/project: determine the impact of enhancing the solution to meet new requirements and ensure that the functionality of affected components is not degraded or rendered unusable due to such enhancements Responsible for ensuring that IS&T backup processes are executed according to schedule and liaise with IS&T in the event of any failures Perform weekly data extraction, transformation and loading into the relational warehouse environment.

Candidate Requirements

Requirements: A Grade 12/Senior Certificate 5 years relevant experience within a Finance and/or Revenue Department, of which 3 years should be in a supervisory position Technical experience in Microsoft SQL Server Stored procedures, views and queries used to interrogate, extract and present the relevant data Knowledge of billing and data management systems, methodologies, tools and business applications as well as knowledge of organisational business processes, practices and procedures Understanding of the municipal environment and the dynamics of Local Government would be advantageous Attention to detail and good analytical skills.
