Employer: Right to Care NPC

 

§  Plan Primary Health Care site support visits with the Sub-District Coordinator and other Right to Care (RtC) teams

§  Conduct site clinical quality audits at CHCs/PHC clinics and facilitate the implementation of required quality improvement interventions

§  Mentor DoH and RtC staff on site or in a training setting who require it on HIV/TB/STI diagnosis, treatment and care as required.

Develop models of best practice for efficient and effective PHC HAST programme implementation and management

Participate in and support the DoH clinical structures that support the PHC HAST program

Provide technical support to the clinics towards the achievement of ICRM/ICSM and National Core Standards

Technical Assistance and ongoing clinical mentoring to PHC doctors/nurses and RtC staff in implementing care & treatment and advanced clinical care integration

Facilitate/support RtC pre- and in- service trainings, including but not limited to NIMART Forums, Reistance workshops, Doctors/Pharmacists/Nurses pre-service training, GP sessions.

Monitoring technical assistance provided to the PHC facilities and ensure it is aligned with RTC’s model for care and treatment strategy

Regularly keep internal and external stakeholders informed of major treatment developments.

Support development and operational research initiatives relevant to providing improved patient outcomes in the programme

Directly provide clinical services at allocated facilities to improve program performance


Required Skills

  • Clinical management of HIV, TB including Advanced Clinical Care and general health : 2 to 3 years
  • Understanding of the District Primary Health Care environment : 2 to 3 years
  • Understanding of national and international trends in TB/HIV and advanced clinical care & treatment : 2 to 3 years
  • Ability to teach and provide expert guidance to multidisciplinary staff at a primary health care : 1 to 2 years
  • Knowledge of research methodologies
  • Leadership, planning, management and organisational skills

Candidate Requirements

 

§  MB ChB

§  Postgraduate qualification or Diploma in HIV Management

§  3 years in the Clinical Practice of HIV/TB Medicine

§  Experience working in or with District, Regional or Tertiary State Hospitals will be an advantage.

§  Experience of engagement with District, provincial management structures and senior technical experts

Experiance in quality improvement methods and stakeholder angagements
