Job Description

Managing client (both internal and external) communication and logistics in order to effectively execute and co-ordinate all daily orders on a portfolio of accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all jobs are processed, actioned and delivered on time according to clients expectations
  • Checking on traffic on your accounts and ensuring that there are no jobs outstanding
  • Responses to clients within 2-4 hours
  • Ensuring that all verbal instructions received are confirmed in writing
  • Ensuring all client queries have been addressed and resolved
  • Checking that all data for your clients are up to date. Managing the data capture responsibilities
  • Checking with the Logistics team on any client confirmation of deliveries/status feedback outstanding
  • Management of client expectations in terms of timelines for deliveries
  • Making positive contact with clients weekly
  • Accurate capture of all information and completion of all relevant data fields on the in-house system as well as on waybills, electronic schedules and any other reports requested of you to complete
  • Compliance with all direct instructions from managers and directors
  • Weekly client report back to managers
  • Communication of special requests from clients to all teams affected
  • Daily task setting for team members and daily communication with clients
  • Ready goods for dispatch – ensuring complete waybills and arranging couriers
  • Ability to be hands-on with operational team if required to do so
  • Any task that management might require you to complete as part of the on-going operation of the business.
  • Operation - on standby 24/7 for events, maintaining damages & missing reports, quarterly stock takes, weekly planning with warehouse, warehouse audits as required per client, implementation and management of processes, timely internal and external client reports, timely stocktake audits, administrative functions etc.

Education and Experience:

  • Matric
  • Customer Services background
  • Warehouse / Logistics experience
  • Ability to read, understand and follow directives
  • Fluency in English
  • Driver’s Licence
  • Ability and flexibility to work late when required

  • A sound exposure of client relationship management

  • Day to day operational work which includes readying orders for distribution/dispatch, handling of boxes and packaging material, labelling
