Millar Cameron is a global recruitment consultancy, specializing in recruiting for professionals in the agricultural sector in emerging markets.


We are currently working with a European-owned business who are a market leader of agricultural machinery in Kenya and East Africa. They are looking for a dynamic, engaging and intelligent Commercial Manager to head up their regional Sales and Marketing operations.


This will be an excellent opportunity to work with the Managing Director, and Founder of the business and gain real exposure of the Kenyan and East African markets.


The Commercial Manager will have the following responsibilities:


  • Developing and working closely with a number of key accounts in the agriculture industry
  • Regular travelling around Kenya and East Africa to meet new and existing clients
  • Providing strong leadership to the Sales and Marketing departments
  • Using your knowledge and contacts in the industry to expand company sales
  • Working on branding and marketing, looking for new ways to connect to customers
Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate for the General Manager position will have the following skills and experience:


  • 5+ years’ experience in Sales Management/Key Account Management type positions
  • Experience with organizations supplying agricultural machinery or involved in selling other products into the farming sector (seeds, fertilizers etc.)
  • Exposure to Sub-Saharan Africa or other emerging markets would be a benefit
