WaterLinx, formerly Waterlines, was established 18 years ago by a group of existing shareholders. By acquiring a number of privately owned pool and spa wholesalers, they aimed to form a national distribution business to service the pool trade. Operating initially from Durban, Cape Town, Pretoria and Johannesburg, branches in Port Elizabeth and Knysna were subsequently added, with further Waterlinx sub distributors appointed in the Free State, Mpumalanga, Gauteng, and Western and Eastern Cape.
Simultaneously, Investec Bank joined as a private equity partner and several injection moulding, assembly and chemical mixing production facilities were acquired, namely Quality Pool & Spa Products, Sun Command Solar, Shamark Plastics, Injecta Plastics, Africhlor Chemicals, BLU52 Chemicals and Control Chemicals
Now a vertically integrated business, Waterlinx has a staff complement of nearly 500. Our products conform and are certified to ISO9001 and NRCS (SABS) standards. We provide top class products and after-sales service to the hundreds of independent South African pool trade professionals, retail chain stores, as well as to many export territories in Africa, Australasia, Europe, UAE and USA.
