Autodesk Authorised Training Centre High Definition Laser Scanning 3D Laser Scanning is a non-contact, non-destructive technology that digitally captures the shape of physical objects using a line of laser light. 3D laser scanners create “point clouds” of data from the surface of an object. In other words, 3D laser scanning is a way to capture a physical object’s exact size and shape into the computer world as a digital 3-dimensional representation. inisys can laser scan plants, facilities, buildings and then create digital representations in either point cloud or through to CAD drawings.

Automation and Control Systems inisys has implemented a documented procedural approach to the design, development, management and maintenance of application software and hardware so that our customers have objective evidence of effective quality management. All inisys courses are run by Autodesk Approved Instructors and follow Autodesk Official Courseware. As plants evolve over the years, there are numerous changes to plant assets which are not necessary reflected in the existing document management system. This gap between what is actually out in the plant and what is on existing drawings in the office generates time consuming exercises and resources for shutdown preparations or any changes to a brownfield plant. Using our high definition laser scanners, inisys can capture point cloud images and then manipulate these images with Leica CloudWorx® and TruView® software so that this information can become available almost immediately for use. From this inisys can produce intelligent 3D plant model drawings, ISO’s, P&ID’s, Bills of Materials and many more deliverables with Autodesk® products. These digital representations of assets can be incorporated into the existing document management systems or into Autodesk Vault®. Our clients are now able to reap the cost saving benefits from as-built conditions of their plants by providing digital equivalents of their assets. And with inisys experience in Plant Automation & Control Systems, we can also interrogate existing control systems and then create as-built documentation such as software and hardware design specifications, operations and maintenance manuals i.e. documents for maintenance/turnaround departments and for any future brownfield upgrades.

Our Products and Services With the combined experience from the inisys divisions, a very real need for dedicated, trained and assessed staff was realised. From this, inisys was formed, providing both permanent and contract based staff for positions within the engineering industry. These vary from entry-level basic employees to highly-skilled, much sought-after specialised professionals. Permanent Staff inisys specialises in the placement of permanent staff. An added advantage is that an employee can be placed on a contract basis for a three month probationary period, where the client can monitor the suitability of the employee in their environment, while the employee is on inisys Recruitments’ payroll. If the decision is made to retain the services of the employee after the probation period, then the employee can be hired on a permanent basis, whereupon a placement fee will be charged to the client. Temporary Staff inisys also offers placement of temporary staff working on a contract basis with our clients. ACAD Ability Testing inisys can offer our clients ACAD Ability testing for existing or new employees. These tests ensure employers of the skills levels of potential and existing employees. Tests can be taken for various Autodesk packages,

including AutoCAD and Inventor. The testing processes ensure that our candidates have the knowledge and ability to perform to the highest standards in their chosen discipline by assessing their personality, profile, strengths, motivation and body clock. It can also enable employers to assess whether staff are in need of further training, job enrichment or enlargement. Psychometric Tests Psychometric tests are a standard and scientific method used to measure individuals´ mental capabilities and behavioural style. Psychometric tests are designed to measure candidates´ suitability for a role based on the required personality characteristics and aptitude (or cognitive abilities). They identify the extent to which candidates´ personality and cognitive abilities match those required to perform the role. Employers use the information collected from the psychometric test to identify the hidden aspects of candidates that are difficult to extract from a face-to-face interview. inisys provides an HPCSA (HEALTH PROFESSIONS COUNCIL OF SOUTH AFRICA) evaluated online assessment tool measured to South African norms, which enables individuals to make informed and objective decisions during the recruitment and selection process.
