The Fisherman’s Deli has been in business for 25 years – located in Northriding, Johannesburg Originating as an upmarket delicatessen in Dunkeld, and specializing in fish and seafood products, we became the first company in Johannesburg to fly up freshly caught fish from the coast. The fish was caught by ski boats only.
The supply of fish ( fresh and frozen ) from this small deli to the catering industry increased tremendously, so a wholesale warehouse was established 17 years ago.
More than just distribution occurs from the warehouse, a production factory and smokehouse also operates from here. Products such as Salmon (Norwegian, Canadian, Trout) Kippers, Mackerel etc. are smoked.
Furthermore, we were approached by leading Supermarkets to portion and pack fish and seafood products which subsequently lead to us processing many other items for various other organisations, making Fisherman’s Deli the only seafood processing company in Johannesburg.
