The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing construction projects for new restaurant outlets within the franchising sector. As a Project Manager, you will oversee the entire process of constructing new outlets, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints while maintaining quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Experience & Qualification Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in project management, specifically in the construction of restaurant outlets within the franchising industry/hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate teams and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed and work flexible hours when required.
- Project Management Professional certification is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, franchisees, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies for new outlet locations.
- Oversee all aspects of construction activities, including site preparation, building permits, and inspections.
- Manage contractor selection, negotiation, and contracting processes.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Track project expenses, review invoices, and approve payments in accordance with budgetary guidelines.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments throughout the construction process.
- Address any deficiencies or deviations from specifications promptly and effectively.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
- Proactively manage issues related to permits, zoning regulations, environmental factors, and other construction-related challenges.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building codes at all times.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, milestones, and potential issues.
- Foster positive relationships with franchisees, contractors, and internal teams to promote collaboration and alignment.
