- Experience with estate maintenance of a hotel or hospitality property is essential
- Technical qualification related to the position is required

- Driver’s licence with own transport
- Ensure that the hotel, hotel facilities, guest areas, guest rooms and all public areas are maintained in good working order.
- Manage the performance and daily activities of the maintenance and gardens staff, assign jobs, work schedules
- Consistently provide on-the-job supervision and training, provide necessary technical information for repair, maintenance, operation, modification, replacement and new construction activities to ensure that all jobs are being done correctly
- Works closely with other departments to coordinate building activities to ensure minimal disturbance to lodge guests
- Participate in efforts to evaluate and update administrative systems relating to the supplies, time and materials, inventory control, preventative maintenance, project control and work order system to provide the hotel with the most up-to-date programs and procedures.
- Maintain a preventative and planned maintenance schedule
- Maintain accurate work records and assists with the daily maintenance tasks as required
